We partnered with Wire Monkey, a small company in Connecticut, to create this compact black walnut bread lame. Small and compact lame lets you get close for added control when slashing loaves. Curved blade helps create deep, prominent slashes in your dough — ideal for making pronounced ears (the raised crust that develops as the bread rises during baking.)
Stainless steel double edge razor blade bends easily to snap in place inside the lame when you're ready to use.
Lame with blade can be conveniently stored in the base, engraved with our stylish crown logo.
Our bakers love this blade to create beautiful slashes atop baguettes and rose-petal patterns on boules.
